Tiny11 Stuck on Let’s add your Microsoft Account
Tiny11 is a lightweight, modified version of Windows 11 designed to reduce system resource usage and storage requirements. It removes unnecessary features and applications, making it ideal for devices with limited hardware capabilities.
If Tiny11 is stuck on the Let’s add your Microsoft account screen, execute the solutions mentioned below:
- Disconnect from the Internet
- Use the Command Prompt
- Enter invalid information
- Registry modification
Let’s get started with the troubleshooting guide.
1] Disconnect from the Internet
First and foremost, if you are stuck on the Microsoft account screen, an effective and simple way to bypass it is by disconnecting the Internet connection. To do this, follow the steps mentioned below:
- Physically disconnect the device from the internet when reaching the Microsoft account sign-in screen. Unplug the Ethernet cable if you are using any, and turn off the wifi.
- Once done, go back one step in the setup, and then move forward again. This will open up the option of setting up a local offline account instead of being forced to use a Microsoft account.
- If disconnecting the Internet is not possible, click Alt+ F4 while on the Microsoft account screen. This shortcut will close the Microsoft account prompt and will redirect users to the local account creation screen.
However, this doesn’t always work, but it is worth trying.
2] Use the Command Prompt
If, for any reason, the first method didn’t work, then we are going to use the Command Prompt to bypass the screen.
- Open the command prompt by clicking Shift + F10 while on the Microsoft account sign-in screen.
- Once opened, execute the following command to launch Local User Group Managers. Then, you can go ahead and proceed with the installation.
net user Administrator /active:yes
- Alternatively, users can also type the following command and hit Enter. This will automatically restart the device.
OOBE/BYPASSNRO
- Once the device restarts, users will be able to see the option to create a local account during the setup.
This method is quick and works on most versions of Tiny11.
3] Enter invalid information
If neither disconnecting the Internet nor the command prompt method works, there is a third method, and that is to use a fake email address. On the Microsoft screen, enter a random fake email such as [email protected] and type in the password. The setup will attempt to verify the email, fail, and may then allow the users to proceed with creating an offline local account instead.
4] Registry modification
Last but not least, we are going to modify the Windows Registry to trick Windows into offering the offline account setup, even if it is not supposed to. To do the same, follow the steps mentioned below.
- On the Microsoft account setup, click Shift + F10 to open the Command Prompt, and type regedit to launch Registry Editor.
- In Registry Editor, navigate to the OOBE key by following the mentioned location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\OOBE
- If the OOBE key doesn’t exist, right-click on Setup, select New> Key, and name it OOBE.
- Inside the OOBE key, right-click the right panel, and then select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value, and rename it to ByPassNRO.
- Double click on it, set the value data to 1, close the Registry Editor and the Command Prompt, and choose Restart.
After reboot, users should now be able to see the option to create a local account during setup.
